Meet Jane Rigby (BA Hon., MA)
Jane has been a practicing artist for more years than she wants to admit! Her media include traditional paintings, print making, historical media, and clay work. Her BA is in Art and Architectural History, and her MA in Iconography (study of visual images in art). Jane developed the Grubby Paws line of pet lifestyle products for her giftware business. In the process she acquired several kilns which were used initially for production of the pet products. She has since expanded into a wide range of hand built ceramic objects using a wide variety of special glazes. She brings many world influences to her art, having lived in the Middle East, California and South America. Recently Jane developed a line of Maple Leaf Art. Starting with real maple leaves, she produces bowls, platters, pendants, fridge magnets and other ceramic items.
Jane works from her studio / gallery (The Back Room on Princes) at
737 Princes St., in Kincardine, Ontario, Canada
