Ayton: The historic friendly town of Ayton, Normanby is celebrating it’s 160th – July 1,2,3, 2016 with a big party all weekend ! Join the family fun entertainments and parade, great food and community events.  Learn more about the 160 years of history.

Hanover: Friday, July 01, 2016

Owen Sound : Friday July 1st, 2016, Annual Celebration Starting at 12 noon at Kelso Beach Park

here are different activities and attractions, carnival games, dancing, music and fireworks at about 10 PM

In Southampton, the celebrations begin at 10 AM at the Southampton Arts School before activities move to the Big Flag at 6 PM, with fireworks at dusk.

In Wiarton, there’s a pancake breakfast from 8 AM to 11:30 AM at Bluewater Park. There’s also a classic car show, games and activities, a fish fry and fireworks at dusk.

Meaford’s Market Square will host a full day celebrations beginning with breakfast at 9 AM. There’s also a car show, an Apple Bin Race and fireworks at dusk.

The Bognor Canada Day celebrations will include music, a car show, food vendors and also more fireworks.

There are many more activities and fireworks scheduled for today in these communities;

Priceville – Stodhart Hall Baseball Diamond, fireworks at dusk

Feversham – fireworks at dusk

Desboro -Strawberry Supper from 5 PM to 7 PM, a Jam Session at Desboro Music Hall and fireworks at dusk at the Community Centre.

Tobermory – fireworks at dusk in Little Tub Harbour, 11am Canada day cake at Chamber of Commerce Office, kids activities 1-4 at the community centre, face painting, tattoos, etc.

Kincardine– parade at 11am, followed by activities at Tiny Tot Park and fireworks at dusk
Wasaga Beach – Activities at Playland Park Square, Beach Area 1; Fireworks at 10pm Beach Area 2

Collingwood – downtown activities, fireworks at dusk

Blue Mountain – Canadian flag cake, guided hikes, family activities, scavenger hunt, fireworks at 10:15 PM

In Harriston, additional celebrations will be held at Cross­roads Community Church.

Clifford car and tractor show

On the weekend following July 1, Clifford is hosting its annual Clifford Rotary Classic Car and Tractor Show in Clifford’s Rotary Park.

Arthur’s Canada Day weekend will begin June 26 to 28 as the Arthur Optimists hold ball tournaments all weekend.

The one on Friday will be the annual business and family three-pitch tourney, while Sat­urday and Sunday will be a combination of men’s and mixed tournaments.

As well, a Saturday night dance is planned featuring the group Detour.

Kids activities will be offered on the Sunday.

Sauble Beach : June 30th make sure to head on down to Sauble Beach. Grab dinner, an ice cream or a beverage while you wait for an amazing fireworks show over the water at 10:00pm

Atwood Lions Club hosts their 59th Annual Canada Day Celebration Giant Parade, one of the biggest parades in the area! Parade starts at 12:30pm down Queen and Main Streets. Antique and Classic Cars; Bands in Attendance Following the parade: Bavarian Gardens at the pavilion, Lottery Draw, Kids Games; Bigger than ever, clowns, face painting, balloon art, rides and bouncy castle, Free Public Swimming 2-4pm, Famous Pork Chop Supper (Completely homemade meal) 4-7pm

The Goderich Yacht Club proudly celebrates Canada Day with a Sail Past and decorated boat parade taking place Friday July 1, 2016, 4:00 p.m. weather permitting. The boats will marshal at the end of Maitland Marina Channel and will proceed to St. Christopher’s Cove along past St. Christopher’s Beach and loop into the main harbor and back out. After the parade on the square, come to the harbor and watch the marine world celebrate our nation’s birthday!
